Favorite Book: Vertical

My favorite book is actually a manga called Vertical. It tells the story of a volunteer mountain rescuer who lives in the Japanese Alps. He assists the police in finding and rescuing victims of accidents in these high and dangerous mountains. What I find most interesting about this book is how it explores human behavior in life-threatening situations. The evolution of the characters is what I love the most, as they become stronger and more capable of facing dangerous challenges. It’s a fascinating look into both the physical and mental strength required in extreme environments.

Favorite Film: Django Unchained

My favorite film is Django Unchained by Quentin Tarantino. This action-packed film follows Django, a slave in America during the time of slavery. What I appreciate most about this movie is Django’s determination to achieve freedom and reunite with his wife. I also love the friendship between Django and Dr. Schultz, which grows throughout the film. Another highlight for me is when the villains are finally punished for the terrible things they’ve done. In general, I enjoy all of Tarantino’s films. I think he has a unique way of using violence in his movies that sets him apart from other directors.
